Our Services

Our work with districts and schools is best done in person. Dreamland Reading also conducts virtual workshops and coaching using a variety of video conferencing platforms.

Ideally we work with schools for 3 – 5 years to ensure schools develop ownership and expertise in targeted instruction for all learners. We want to make sure schools use data efficiently to modify instruction.

At Dreamland Reading we are committed to ensuring all children receive instruction that supports their reading development. We believe reading is a gateway skill and aim to address the crisis in the U.S. particularly in high poverty areas where many students are not reading at grade level.

We provide strategic planning, practical solutions through workshops, on-site coaching, and data analysis. Dreamland Reading can help any school meet their goals of having all students reading on grade level.

Workshops

Targeted Instruction | Practical solutions for meeting the needs of all students in the classroom, and making sure the teacher has adequate time with students on a daily basis.

MTSS: Multi-tiered System of Support | For students who need additional support to Tier 1 instruction. The MTSS framework is a structure for implementing intervention programs for students based on their needs. Combined with Dreamland Reading’s novel data approach, we improve schools’ MTSS Systems.

The Science of Reading Instruction | Develop your expertise and learn the science behind teaching reading.

Teacher Mentor Training | Trains teacher mentors to develop a cohesive team, understand how mentoring is different than coaching, and how this practice can improve school performance and teacher retention.

Leading for Literacy | Principals learn the science of reading and how to support teachers to implement these practices, review student achievement data and set priorities by grade level and school wide.

In-School Support

Model Lessons | Support for teachers through modeling lessons in their classrooms with their students. Showing you our approaches, instead of telling you, with time to reflect afterward.

Reading Coach Support | We work side by side with reading coaches to build a clear understanding of their role, and identify the most critical areas of need in the school.

Data Analysis | Data meetings, program selection, intervention assignments, tier 1 and advanced instruction, which are guided by data driven decisions.

Literacy Leadership for principals | Many principals have not spent time teaching elementary school, and don’t always know what instructional techniques to look for, or how to organize literacy teams for the highest impact. Work with us to gain confidence in leading for literacy, ensuring every student is getting the best instruction for them.

Data Analysis

Data Meetings | Support for principals and instructional coaches in preparing and facilitating data meetings with all grade levels. Together with teachers, we look at student performance data and create a plan for supporting each student.

Data Visualization | Organizing student data to understand which students need which kind of support in a Multi-Tiered System of Support can be overwhelming. We help schools sift through their data and distill it into critical insights, and create a visualization principals and teachers can all use to make sure each student receives the support they need.
